Job summary

Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. We offer full-time and part-time shifts (3-11pm and 11-7am) and provide opportunities for growth, paid training, and benefits. You will provide nursing care to residents under physician orders and Director of Nursing supervision.

Responsibilities include bedside care, medication administration, documentation, history review, and care coordination to promote residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• First aid and CPR certification required.

Summary of theLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care. Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
• Keep resident patient information confidential, follow all policies and procedures, and adhere to federal, state, local requirements, and professional standards.
• Collect, track, maintain, and review patient medical history, charts, and physical condition, including heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
• Assist with resident comfort.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Provide wound care.
• Help coach staff as necessary.

Qualifications

• Up to date first aid and CPR certification.
