Job summary

Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our clinical team. The role provides bedside nursing care, medication administration, and documentation under physician orders and the Director of Nursing oversight.

Shifts available include full-time and part-time positions from 3-11pm and 11-7am. We offer benefits, ongoing training, and a supportive work environment focused on resident well-being and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Up to date first aid and CPR certification.
• Current LPN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and document therapeutic effects.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all policies and regulations.
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition regularly.
• Assist with resident comfort and safety.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas as directed.
• Maintain and review patient records and charts.
• Support staff and mentor colleagues as needed.

Summary of theLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care. Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
• Keep resident patient information confidential, follow all policies and procedures, and adhere to federal, state, local requirements, and professional standards.
• Collect, track, maintain, and review patient medical history, charts, and physical condition, including heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
• Assist with resident comfort.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Provide wound care.
• Help coach staff as necessary.
