Job summary

Collin County Government is seeking a Building Maintenance Tech II – Licensed Plumber to inspect, repair and support renovations across county facilities, focusing on plumbing systems, boilers and water/sewer equipment. Qualifications

Journeyman Plumber License required.
Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
At least two years of building maintenance experience and four years of plumbing work.
Six months of advanced study or training past high school equivalency.
Ability to follow plumbing codes and safety standards.
Must pass post offer physical, drug screen, background check and fitness test if required.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, maintain and pressure test pipes, fittings and fixtures.
Inspect and repair plumbing systems including water heaters, boilers, valves and fixtures.
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layouts.
Respond to emergency calls and perform general building maintenance.
Collaborate with Facilities Technical Coordinator and team; maintain records of work performed.
