Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our patient-centered rehabilitation team. You will provide individualized care to restore mobility and independence, guided by PT supervision and evidence-based practices.

You will deliver therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and educate patients and families on home exercises and use of assistive devices, while collaborating with nurses, aides, and therapists to maintain a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• LPTA license in Texas required within 30 days of start date.
• Associate Degree from an approved therapy program required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Experience in a rehab setting preferred; new grads considered.
• Ability to work weekdays with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
