Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant PRN to join our team. You will deliver individualized care that restores mobility and independence, under the supervision of PTs, with a caseload that supports hands-on patient interaction.

This role offers scheduling flexibility, opportunities for education support and growth, and a collaborative work environment with nurses, aides, and therapists committed to high-quality care for our community in West Houston.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)
• CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitor patient progress and document responses for safe, effective care
• Educate patients and families on use of assistive devices and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses, aides and care team to maintain a high-quality patient experience

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, or Heart Saver CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
