Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join theTexas Sports Medicine Center. You will provide individualized outpatient therapy, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training to restore function and independence.

You will collaborate with PTs and the care team, document progress, and educate patients on home programs. A TX license and 9am–6pm availability are required; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• LPTA licensed in the state of Texas is required
• Associate Degree as a minimum required from a PTA program
• Experience in an outpatient setting preferred, new grads will be considered
• Must be able to work weekdays
• This position is located at the Texas Sports Medicine Center
• Must be able to work 9am - 6 pm

Responsibilities

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence
