Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and licensure as a PT in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Current BLS certification and completion of required stroke-care CE.
• Ability to evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan with evidence-based plans.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Performs examinations, documents findings, and tracks outcomes.
• Collaborates with orthopedic and neurologic teams for optimal rehab.
• Ensures safe patient transfers and applies appropriate modalities.
• Maintains documentation per CTSCP67 and clinical policies.
• Participates in required continuing education and QA activities.

Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association

Continuing education in acute stroke care
