Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you play a crucial role in the rehabilitation team, working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, reduce pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Patient Care Implementation: Assist in executing treatment plans created by physical therapists to meet patients' rehabilitation goals and functional needs.
• Therapeutic Exercises and Activities: Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities aimed at improving physical function and recovery. Educate patients on proper techniques, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Modalities and Physical Agents: Apply treatment modalities correctly, monitor patient responses, and modify treatment parameters as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Patient and Family Education: Teach patients and families about injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and pain management techniques.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track patient responses to interventions, document progress, and communicate with supervising therapists to adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications
