Presbyterian Village North in Dallas, TX is seeking a full-time Licensed Physical Therapist to support patients across Dallas, Plano and Coppell. You must hold a Texas PT license and be prepared to work Monday–Friday days in a multi-site setting.

Qualifications

  • Licensed PT in Texas is required.
  • Knowledge of therapy regulations at federal/state/local levels.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with PDPM treatment and reimbursement and general rehab workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Model professional behavior toward residents and colleagues.
  • Ensure safety of residents, visitors and staff.
  • Document assessments, progress notes and discharge summaries in the medical record.
  • Educate residents, families and staff on PT modalities and care.
  • Demonstrate clinical judgment in resident treatments.
  • Supervise PTAs, rehab techs and students; review their documentation.
  • Screen residents for PT benefit and develop/review PT programs.
  • Attend in-services and meetings as required; maintain state licensure CE.

Presbyterian Village North is currently looking for full time a Licensed Physical Therapist to join our fantastic team! This position will be a multi-site role that will support patients in Dallas, Plano and Coppell.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Model a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, visitors, and co-workers
  • Ensure resident, patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
  • Document all assessments, reassessments, progress notes, discharge summaries and other clinical work in the medical record per departmental policy and procedure
  • Provide resident, family and staff education pertaining to Physical Therapy modalities to ensure understanding and proficiency of care
  • Demonstrates good clinical judgment in all aspects of resident treatments in which trained to provide
  • Orients, instructs and directs work activities of Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Techs and Physical Therapy students
  • Reviews documentation written by the Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants
  • Screening residents to determine their potential benefit from physical therapy intervention
  • Develops, directs and/or participates in physical therapy programming for the residents
  • Attends in-services and other meetings as required on an ongoing basis
  • Maintains continuing education per state licensure requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehab
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the the State of Texas
  • Knowledge of therapy industry and federal, state and local government regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated efficiency strategies for fast paced environment
  • Experience in SNF/LTC/IL/AL/OP setting or mature population rehabilitation and wellness needs
  • Experience with PDPM treatment and reimbursement policy
  • Basic computer skills, Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with disabilities and hospice Patients
  • Ability to perform Essential Duties
  • Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
  • Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
  • Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
