Actalent is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a fast-paced outpatient setting in Memphis, TN. You will ensure safe dispensing, provide patient education, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care.

The role emphasizes accurate dispensing, counseling, and adherence to regulations, with responsibility for patient profiles, medication reconciliation, and staff supervision in a contract, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree.
• Active Tennessee Pharmacist license.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication safety.
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, potential drug interactions, allergies, and other safety concerns.
• Dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, storage, adherence, and potential interactions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and clarify prescription orders when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and pharmacy records.
• Support medication reconciliation efforts and continuity of care initiatives.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• Provide guidance, training, and oversight to pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and quality standards.
• Participate in patient safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
