Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Tennessee.
Eligibility for licensure in additional states required; multi-state licensure preferred.
Experience working in a high-volume or automated pharmacy environment preferred.
Responsibilities
Review, verify, and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently.
Manage workflow within the central fill pharmacy to meet production targets.
Replenish hoppers and provide oversight of pharmacy automation systems.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and support personnel.
Perform quality checks during production as requested by the operations team.
Document and report medication errors to the Supervisor and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
Oversee return-to-stock processes.
Provide directions and assistance to staff involved in filling medication orders.
Provide professional product and drug information to the operations team as needed.
Monitor proper storage and distribution of medications.
Complete end-of-day assignments, including following protocols for closing the facility.
Promote teamwork and assist team members as required.
Follow all company and pharmacy policies and procedures.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
