CornerStone Medical in Washington, NC is seeking a Pharmacist for onsite employment, temp to perm. Compensation is $67.14/hr with a Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule and occasional Saturdays on a rotating basis with full-time pharmacists.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and NC licensure. Duties include dispensing medications, ensuring safety and compliance, patient counseling, and supervising pharmacy staff. Strong QA and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Licensed by NC state board of pharmacy.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug test, with immunization records.

Responsabilités

• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure medicines stock complies with the law.
• Ensure prescribed medicines are suitable for patients.
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients on medicines, proper usage, and potential reactions.
• Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications.
• Offer services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure and cholesterol management.
• Educate on handling medical devices like BP monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for external or internal use and prepare sterile solutions.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and other practitioners.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.
