Responsibilities

• Receives prescriptions and reviews the patient's medication profile/history.
• Utilizes patient data for optimal drug therapy recommendations.
• Compounds and oversees preparation of medications.
• Complies with medication formulary and other optimization programs.
• Completes required documentation of medication administration.
• Counsels patients about pharmaceutical care issues.
• Directs workflow and supervises pharmacy staff.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Identifies improvement opportunities.
• Precepts students and participates in training.
