Construction Material Testing is seeking seller-doer engineers who hold a PE license and can balance office proposals with field and lab review. You will develop client relationships, price and write proposals, and seal reports while directing technicians on projects.

You will travel to client sites, attend owner and architecture meetings, and drive revenue through credible contracts, with a compensation structure tied to revenue you develop.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in civil/geotechnical/structural by state or comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibilities.
• Proven track record of bringing in work or credible plan for market success.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and saying no to bad contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on the projects you win: review field and laboratory data, seal reports and letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on your projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
