Job summary

Optum Behavioral Care in Middletown, CT seeks a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our outpatient team. You will assess patients, provide evidence-based psychotherapy, and document thoroughly in EMR systems.

The role supports our patient-growth strategies and multidisciplinary collaboration. Requirements include a Master’s in a counseling field and an active CT license (LCSW/LMFT/LPC), with 2+ years of post-master’s experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field.
• Active, unrestricted CT clinical license: LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
• 2+ years of professional behavioral health experience post-master's.
• Experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and families.
• Experience using Excel, Outlook and EHR systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess patients for mental health and substance use disorders.
• Provide treatment using CBT, DBT and other evidence-based methods.
• Track treatment response and monitor clinical symptoms and side effects.
• Maintain accurate EMR and documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to online directories and marketing profiles for patient growth.
