Job summary

LensCrafters is recruiting a Licensed Optician who will deliver exceptional customer service and craft high-quality eyewear to meet customers' vision needs. You will leverage brand value to position LensCrafters as the premier destination for eye care within the community.

You will assist with measurements, eyewear fitting, and use of technology to ensure precise prescriptions, while maintaining store standards and driving brand KPIs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder
• Knowledge of current store merchandise
• Strong basic math skills
• Awareness of current fashion trends
• Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPad/tablet
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators
• Embrace new technology & change

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers, set expectations with customers
• Custom fit glasses & precisely place prescription in lenses
• Acts as a leader in optical acumen
• Take & record measurements, adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail
• Assist team with complex product needs & prescriptions
• Use technology efficiently under time pressure with strong product knowledge
• Ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations
• Prioritize multiple tasks and manage time
• Contribute to achieving Brand KPIs & competencies
• Maintain store appearance and organization
• Report safety opportunities to management
• Be resourceful, self-motivated, and continuously learn
