Job summary

America’s Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Optician in Ventura, CA to deliver outstanding patient care while supporting store performance. You will assist customers with eyeglasses and contact lenses, provide training, and help them choose eyewear that best fits their needs.

This role requires accuracy, strong customer service, and teamwork. You will maintain patient records, meet sales goals, mentor apprentices where allowed by law, and uphold a clean, organized store environment.

Qualifications

• Active dispensing license as required by state.
• 3+ years related experience or training.
• Strong customer service and clear communication abilities.
• Confident selling skills with ability to meet store goals.
• Organized, detail-minded, and able to multitask in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with eyeglass and contact lens dispensing, including training.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while meeting sales goals and company objectives.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage order follow-up, including notifications and weekly outreach.
• Support quality and operational excellence by reducing remakes, following safety standards, and adhering to company policies.
• Maintain inventory control, merchandising standards, and a clean, organized work environment.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
