Job summary

US Eye in Florida is seeking a Licensed Optician/Optical Technician to dispense lenses, eyeglasses, and contact lenses with accuracy. You will measure, assist patients in selecting frames, and coordinate with labs to ensure correct prescriptions and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Opticianry or completion of Florida apprenticeship program is required or preferred.
• Florida licensure or equivalent out-of-state licensure is acceptable.
• Experience with lens options, coatings, and patient education is expected.

Responsibilities

• Interpret prescriptions from ophthalmologists/optometrists.
• Take eye measurements (pupillary distance, seg height, base curve, width, thickness).
• Assist clients in selecting best lenses and treatments.
• Select appropriate frame for facial structure and Rx.
• Troubleshoot eyewear concerns and ensure lens accuracy with a lensometer.
• Coordinate with labs to prepare orders and ensure proper delivery.
