Eye Specialists of Mid-Florida is seeking a Licensed Optician to assist patients with eyewear selection, dispensing, and adjustments. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, inventory control, and achieving a 75% prescription capture rate.

Requirements include a Florida Optician License, high school diploma, at least two years in a busy practice, and a marketing degree is preferred. The practice offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement; travel to satellite locations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Florida Optician License required.
• Two years of experience as an optician in a busy practice.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist patient with eyewear selection.
• Greet and assist all patients in a friendly manner.
• Provide routine cleaning and adjustment services for eyewear.
• Keep optical boards and surrounding areas stocked and clean.
• Order jobs from lab according to protocols.
• Troubleshoot eyewear issues to meet patient needs.
• Check-in and document all incoming jobs correctly.
• Review patient insurance to determine fees and collect payments.
• Maintain certification and participate in trainings.
• Maintain accurate records and protect confidentiality.
