Job summary

Sunglass Hut is seeking a licensed optician to serve as an on-floor ambassador, handling prescriptions and fitting lenses/frames. You’ll lead store operations to support management in achieving sales goals, including learning policies for opening, closing, and daily activities.

The role requires licensure, optical dispensing experience, and strong customer service. Expect opportunities to grow, apply fashion insight, and leverage iPad tech in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State Licensure in Opticianry.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPAD/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.
• Embrace new technology & change.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers, set expectations with customers.
• Custom fit glasses & precisely place prescription in lenses.
• Acts as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take & record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail.
• Assists team with complex product needs & prescriptions.
• Adhere to company policies & procedure, including discounts, promotions & inventory management.

Skills
