Job summary

LensCrafters in Memphis, TN is seeking a Licensed Optician to deliver exceptional eyewear experiences and accurate prescriptions. You will fit, adjust, and educate customers while upholding brand standards and patient safety.

As part of a dynamic optical team, you’ll leverage technology (iPad/tablet) to process orders, manage inventory, and contribute to meeting store KPIs with a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure required for optical dispensing.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current eyewear merchandise and fashion trends.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Familiarity with iPad/tablet, POS, calculators.
• Willingness to embrace new technology.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Sales skills to apply discounts, promotions, inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and place prescription in lenses precisely.
• Lead in optical knowledge and customer guidance.
• Take and record measurements; adjust eyewear with attention to detail.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology confidently under time pressure with accuracy.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by anticipating needs and solving issues.
