Job summary

Visionworks of America in Auburn, NY is seeking an Optical Dispensing Associate. You will assist customers with selecting frames and lenses, interpret prescriptions, and explain product options to meet individual visual needs.

You will ensure compliance with social distancing and hygiene, process Third-Party insurance information, and coordinate with the lab and optometrist to ensure accurate prescriptions and fit.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and explain optical products.

Responsibilities

• Assist each customer in frame and lens selection meeting social distance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with social distancing, cleaning protocols and hygiene practices.
• Provide customers with accurate product information regarding frames, lens selections and other services.
• Inform customers on insurance coverage and any charges not covered by their Third-Party insurance.
• Utilize SERVE sales process to identify needs and recommend lenses.
• Analyze and interpret prescriptions and coordinate with Lab and Optometrist.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories with precise measurements and verifications.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area.
• Maintain pricing accuracy and comply with state license requirements.
