Job summary

Visionworks is looking for an optician dispensing associate to help customers choose frames and lenses, interpret prescriptions, and ensure accurate fitting and pricing in a retail setting.

The role requires state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing, strong customer service, and knowledge of insurance benefits. Onsite customer interactions and adherence to privacy policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, services, and prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection and ensure proper measurements.
• Provide customers with accurate information on frames, lens selections and services.
• Inform customers about insurance benefits and any charges not covered by third-party plans.
• Utilize the SERVE sales process to identify needs and recommend lenses.
• Analyze and interpret prescriptions and coordinate with Lab and Optometrist for accuracy.
