Job summary

Walmart in Springdale, AR is seeking an Optical Associate to deliver member service, stock and merchandise the Optical area, and operate the register. You will handle claims, returns, exchanges, and paperwork while assisting customers with eyewear decisions and measurements.

The role requires maintaining required optics certifications or licensure as applicable, and strong teamwork. The position is on-site with benefits and competitive pay in the Walmart/Sam's Club environment.

Qualifications

• Requires maintaining Optician in Charge status where required by state regulations.
• Maintain active ABO/NCLE certifications and state licensure/registration where applicable.
• Willingness to sponsor Apprentice Optical Technicians per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Member service by acknowledging needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting Walmart products and services.
• Maintain optical area merchandising, pricing, and cleanliness; handle claims and returns; organize area and paperwork.
• Operate optical area, stock merchandise, handle documentation and logs, and process payments, returns, and exchanges.
• Assist Members with selecting and purchasing eyewear, measure/adjust/repair frames and lenses, and manage prescription paperwork and pretests.
