Warby Parker in Morristown, NJ is opening a new store and seeking a skilled Optician to join our in-house optical team. You will help customers see better by taking measurements, fitting eyewear, and explaining prescriptions with clarity and care.

The ideal candidate holds an active dispensing license (and/or ABO certification as required by state) and brings a passion for eyewear, service, and positive teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license
• ABO-certified or licensed per state requirements
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries
• Clear, effective, professional communicator for customers
• Dedicated to going above and beyond to help customers and teammates
• Energetic, positive team player in a fast-paced environment
• Extremely detail‑oriented and able to juggle many responsibilities
• Open-minded and eager to learn and improve
• Not on the LEIE list

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet all eyewear needs
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy
• Check eyewear against optical standards and customer requirements
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
• Collaborate with team to ensure exceptional service for all customers
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, style and lifestyle
• Collaborate to form best practices for sales and customer service
• Represent our brand to educate and excite customers about our values
