Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department and deliver exceptional customer service. You will monitor performance, manage staff, and ensure compliance with company standards while driving sales and profitability.

This role requires optical licensing, ABO/NCLE certification, and proven leadership in optical sales. The ideal candidate will coach associates, optimize operations, and contribute to a positive store experience.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) for team management.
• Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Experience in optical sales; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Oversees eyeglass department efficiency and compliance with company policies.
• Mentors Opticians and Sales associates; supports day-to-day store operations.
• Forecasts staffing needs; assists with recruiting and retaining quality staff.
• Leads and coaches associates toward sales and customer service goals.
• Ensures high-quality customer service and consistent merchandising and promotions.
• Supports General Manager with staffing and training initiatives.
