Job summary

Arbors of Ohio is seeking a qualified Nursing Home Administrator to oversee daily operations, ensure quality care, and maintain regulatory compliance in a Ohio long-term care facility.

You will lead staffing, budgeting, and program development while promoting a positive culture and strong resident and family relations. This full-time role requires LNHA licensure or reciprocity eligibility and prior long-term care leadership experience.

Qualifications

  • BS in health care administration, business administration, finance, a clinical specialty or equivalent long term care experience.
  • Licensed by the state as LNHA or eligible for reciprocity.
  • Two years’ experience as LNHA in long-term care or completion of an AIT program.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning to develop goals for quality care, employee retention, and financial performance.
  • Direct hiring and training to ensure orientation and ongoing training aligned with goals.
  • Prepare annual budgets for regional management review.
  • Guide activities of clinical, administrative and service departments.
  • Implement control systems to ensure accountability across departments.
  • Represent the facility at community meetings and promote programs.
  • Monitor performance and take corrective action as needed.
  • Serve as Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinator and chair the Performance Improvement Committee.

Summary:

The Nursing Home Administrator manages the day-to-day operations of the facility to ensure efficient and profitable operation, facility compliance with company policies and State and Federal rules and regulations and providing the highest quality of care possible.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • BS in health care administration, business administration, finance, a clinical specialty or equivalent long term care experience.
Licenses/Certification:
  • Licensed by the state or eligible for reciprocity.
Experience:
  • Two years’ experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in a long-term care facility or completion of an AIT program.
Job Functions:
  • Leads planning process to develop goals for quality care, employee retention, and financial performance.

  • Other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Long-Term Care and Medicaid and Medicare regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of cost reporting, profit and loss and budget compliance.
  • Ability to work with a large staff and diverse client base.
  • Ability to be flexible in work hours.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in directing and motivating the workforce.
  • Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
