Odelia Healthcare is seeking an experienced nurse manager (LPN/RN) in Albuquerque, NM to oversee patient care within policy and regulatory standards.

You will participate in quality improvement, coordinate medications and treatments, and round with physicians as needed.

Strong licensure in the state and prior nursing leadership experience are preferred; the role requires collaboration and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/RN licensure in the state.
• One year of nursing management experience preferred.

• Uses Infection Control Manual appropriately.
• Participates in Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admits, discharge).
• Educates family and patient.
• Administers medications timely per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN/RN in state
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
