Job summary

EmpowerHome Team is seeking a mortgage closer to join our performance-driven lending team in Manassas, VA. You will handle loan closings, ensure compliance with FHA/VA/Conventional/USDA guidelines, and coordinate with processors and officers to bring loans to close.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of mortgage processing/closing experience, NMLS registration, strong communication, and time-management skills. The role requires on-site work with competitive compensation and commissions.

Qualifications

• Two years of real estate mortgage processing, lending, or closing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of loan products (Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA); familiarity with underwriting guidelines.
• NMLS registration required.
• Spanish-speaking candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute transfer of lender funds for disbursement.
• Ensure loan compliance with state/federal regulations and investor guidelines.
• Review closing conditions and closing documents for accuracy.
• Coordinate with loan processor/ officer to close loans.
• Maintain accurate calendar availability for sales department scheduling.
