Job summary

Hearthstone-Senior-Living is seeking a Medication Technician to administer medications to residents under physician orders and nursing supervision in our Ellensburg, WA facility. You will document medication administration, ensure proper labeling, and follow all facility policies and state regulations.

Responsibilities include reporting errors, participating in quality assurance programs, and maintaining professional communication with Health Services leadership and pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having completed state approved training program and passed required exams.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the physician, under supervision of nursing leadership.
• Document and chart all medication administration, including any errors or discrepancies.
• Follow facility policies on medication handling, labeling, and destruction as directed by the pharmacist and Health Services Director.
• Maintain accurate medication administration records and report adverse reactions promptly.
• Assist in QA programs and with surveys to improve medication safety and compliance.
