Job summary

Superior EMP is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our California-based team. This role requires flexibility for overnight shifts and the ability to travel for extended assignments as needed.

You will install, route, and secure conduit and cabling, assemble panels, and coordinate with foremen to keep projects on schedule. Responsibilities include installing electrical components per codes, reading blueprints, and troubleshooting installations.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the DIR.
• Ability to commute to various jobsites.
• Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure conduit and cabling (EMT, PVC, MC, flexible, CAT5/6, RMC, Romex).
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components per specs and codes.
• Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems.
• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues and system malfunctions.
• Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred).
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
• May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman.

• Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems

• Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred)
• Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred)
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
