Role Description This full-time, on-site Licensed Insurance Agent role is based in Roselle, IL. The Licensed Insurance Agent will engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs, provide personalized insurance solutions, and recommend appropriate products across lines such as auto, home, life, and other coverages. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, preparing quotes, processing applications, and managing policy changes in compliance with industry regulations and company standards. The role involves building and maintaining long-term relationships through proactive outreach, responsive service, and timely follow-up on inquiries, claims-related questions, and renewal opportunities. The agent will collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals, contribute to agency growth, and ensure a consistent, caring, and professional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Insurance Sales, with experience explaining coverage options and closing new and renewal policies.
• Strong foundation in Insurance and Insurance Brokerage practices, including understanding of policy structures, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Finance concepts relevant to insurance pricing, budgeting, and risk assessment.
• Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse customers.
• Valid state insurance license (or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe), preferably in property, casualty, and life lines.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail when handling documentation and policy changes.
• Comfort with using agency management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software to manage customer information and sales activities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical conduct consistent with American Family Insurance values.
• Prior experience in an insurance agency, financial services, or related field is preferred but not required.
