Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid Insurance Agent role based in Adrian, MO, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the schedule. The Insurance Agent will identify customer needs, recommend appropriate insurance products, and manage a personal book of business. Daily responsibilities include consulting with prospective and existing policyholders, preparing quotes, processing applications, and handling policy changes. The role also involves providing responsive customer service, assisting with claims inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Insurance Agent will collaborate with internal teams, participate in local marketing and outreach efforts, and use digital tools to maintain accurate records and follow up with clients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales, including prospecting, networking, and closing new business.
• Knowledge of Insurance products and Insurance Brokerage practices, with the ability to explain coverage options clearly.
• Basic understanding of Finance principles relevant to insurance, premiums, and risk management.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on building trust-based relationships and resolving issues promptly.
• Relevant state insurance license (or eligibility to obtain within a specified timeframe).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and clear presentation abilities.
• Comfort with technology, including CRM systems, online quoting tools, and standard office software.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to both in-office and remote work environments.
• Previous experience in sales, financial services, or insurance is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in business, finance, or related fields is a plus.
