Given the remote nature of the role, a comfort level with computers and insurance software is crucial. Responsibilities: • Take ownership of ensuring there are accurate records of all necessary bookkeeping, client, and sales reports in order to track and communicate the status of assigned goals • Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect each customer’s individual needs • Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling and networking • Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients • Spend time listening to existing, new, and prospective clients to evaluate their needs and stage-of-life priorities before presenting insurance plan options for their specific circumstances • Stay abreast of market changes and rates • A good note-taker and problem-solver • Ability to learn new things • Comfortable using new software programs • Ability to answer 30-40 calls per day Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma mandatory • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills are necessary; customer service skills are helpful • Valid insurance license required or candidates must be willing to get licensed • Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders • Working knowledge of accounting and sales lead software is a plus • Must have a Personal Lines Insurance Agent license • Positive attitude • Typing skills • Quiet home office • High-speed home internet connection • Be a responsible and reliable member of the team • Comfortable with taking a high volume of inbound calls • Complete our training and development courses • Completing tasks assigned in a fast-paced environment • Able to multitask • Manage multiple computer programs, including CRM and carrier websites • Comfortable being on the phone • Ability to learn new things quickly • Self-motivated Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly
