Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, repair, and maintain complex HVAC systems in our Winston-Salem, NC facility. You will inspect rooftop units, air handlers, boilers, and chillers, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, replacing components, and completing refrigerant recovery as needed.

The role requires 3-5 years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience, strong electro-mechanical abilities, and proficiency with hand tools and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Freon/Refrigerant License Required (EPA Section 608 Universal certification).
• 3-5 years of HVAC experience in commercial or industrial settings
• Strong electro-mechanical skills with proven troubleshooting ability
• Ability to properly use hand tools and test equipment in a safe manner
• Knowledge of power distribution, lighting, control systems, and electrical equipment

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC systems (rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, air distribution).
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, replace defective components, and perform refrigerant recovery/charging procedures.
• Execute preventive maintenance plant-wide including inspections, lubrication, refrigerant checks, coil cleaning, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS and ensure systems operate within manufacturer specs.
• Troubleshoot electrical components (motors, contactors, relays, distribution systems) using schematics.
