Job summary

LCMC Health in Louisiana seeks a skilled HVAC Facilities Technician to perform corrective and preventive maintenance on hospital systems, including air handlers, boilers, chillers, and generators, ensuring reliability and safety.

You will read prints, review BAS data, document work orders, support safety programs, and respond quickly during emergencies. This on-site role requires physical ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience with operating engineer/hospital maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including air handlers, exhaust fans, energy recovery units, dampers, sensors and controls.
• Maintains generators, towers, chillers and boilers; performs water treatment for cooling towers, boilers, chilled water and reheating systems.
• Inspects HVAC components and understands impact on patient care; conducts routine environmental and safety rounds.
• Documents and prioritizes all department work requests and loads PMs when completed.
• Operates building automation system and uses BAS data to plan repairs and actions.
