Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a skilled HVAC/maintenance technician to perform corrective and preventative maintenance on hospital systems at New Orleans East Hospital. The role requires reading prints, interpreting BAS data, and coordinating with departments to address issues promptly.

Responsibilities include generator maintenance, environmental safety rounds, and ensuring equipment is ready for emergency operations.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience. (NOEH)
• Preferred: 3 years of experience with operating engineer/hospital maintenance. (NOEH)

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective, preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including air handlers, exhaust fans, energy recovery units, dampers, sensors and controls.
• Maintains a high craft level and cleanliness of equipment and mechanical rooms.
• Inspects HVAC components and performs routine environmental and safety rounds.
• Reads prints and reviews BAS data to evaluate HVAC equipment issues and plan repairs.
• Documents and prioritizes all requests and loads work orders.
• Provides routine maintenance on generators and maintains stock of chemicals and reagents.
