Are you a licensed home inspector who enjoys inspecting homes—but could do without having to constantly market yourself, generate leads, sell services, manage scheduling, and run every other part of the business?
There may be a better way to build your career.
HomeTeam Inspection Service of Kentuckiana and the Bluegrass is growing, and we are looking for a licensed home inspector to join our professional inspection team serving the greater Louisville and Southern Indiana markets.
You do not need to know the HomeTeam system when you arrive. We will train the right inspector in our team-based inspection process and, as your experience and proficiency develop, provide opportunities to lead inspection teams and expand your technical expertise.
HomeTeam Inspection Service of Kentuckiana and the Bluegrass is the largest HomeTeam franchise in North America and the Official Inspection Partner of the Greater Louisville Association of REALTORS®.
Unlike the traditional solo-inspector model, our inspectors work as a team. That means more experience on the property, greater collaboration, and the opportunity to learn from other experienced inspectors every day.
Our full-time inspectors average more than 500 inspections per year, providing substantial field experience and the opportunity to develop professionally in a growing inspection company.
Just as importantly, our inspectors inspect.
You will not be expected to prospect for business, market to real estate agents, sell inspection appointments, or upsell clients. We provide the customers, scheduling, administrative support, vehicle, equipment, technology, uniforms, and established inspection volume.
Your job is to become an exceptional inspector and provide an exceptional client experience.
Compensation is based on completed inspections with additional compensation for qualified ancillary services.
You must currently hold a valid Kentucky or Indiana home inspector license. Applicants already licensed in both states are especially attractive, but dual licensing is not required when you apply. We will work with the right candidate to obtain licensing in the second state.
We are less concerned about an arbitrary number of years in the business than we are about finding the right inspector.
We want someone who is:
Experience with radon testing, mold assessments, environmental testing, or commercial inspections is beneficial but not required.
You must also possess a valid driver's license and be physically capable of performing residential inspections, including accessing roofs, attics, crawlspaces, basements, and mechanical areas.
Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
This position may be particularly attractive if you are currently operating as a solo inspector and enjoy the inspection work but would like to spend less time running a small business.
At HomeTeam, you can concentrate on becoming a better inspector, gain considerably more field experience, work alongside other professionals, broaden your technical skills, and build a long-term career without having to generate your own next inspection.
This is a field-based position. You will generally start your workday from home and travel directly to scheduled inspections throughout the greater Louisville and Southern Indiana area.
