The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable, presentable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection and detailed report.

HouseMaster has been providing quality home inspections for buyers, sellers, and agents since 1979 and operates more than 300 franchised areas throughout the United States

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in construction, real estate, or home repair.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Physically fit for ladders, roofs, crawl spaces, and standing for long periods.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

Position Summary

A growing national company is seeking individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable, presentable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection and detailed report. HouseMaster has been providing quality home inspections for buyers, sellers, and agents since 1979 and operates more than 300 franchised areas throughout the United States and Canada.

Role And Responsibilities

The inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications. The ideal candidate stays current on the latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic are also required. Salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications And Requirements
  • 2+ years of construction, real estate, or home repair experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including patience with clients and answering all questions during and after the inspection
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Physically fit for climbing ladders, walking on roofs, accessing crawl spaces and attics, and standing for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or other conditions
