Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Licensed Professional Geologist to provide hydrogeological expertise for groundwater protection in the Southwest District Oil and Gas Operations. You will assess groundwater conditions, perform field investigations, review data, and guide regulatory decisions to safeguard public health and the environment.

This full-time role supports regulatory decisions, compliance actions, and engagement with staff and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active license as a professional geologist issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board.
• Active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

Responsibilities

• Hydrogeological Analysis: Assess groundwater conditions and investigate complex environmental issues
• Field Investigations: Conduct site visits to gather subsurface data and document environmental findings
• Data Review: Evaluate technical reports, monitoring plans, and remediation proposals for accuracy and completeness
• Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice to staff, management, and external stakeholders on groundwater and hydrogeological matters
• Regulatory Support: Assist with compliance actions, enforcement cases, and responses to groundwater complaints
