Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Licensed Professional Geologist to provide hydrogeological expertise for groundwater protection and regulatory decisions in the Southwest District Oil and Gas Operations. The role includes conducting site visits, data review, and offering technical guidance to staff and external stakeholders.

Requirements include an active professional geologist license in PA and a PA Class C driver's license. Telework may be available with PA residency considerations.

Qualifications

• Active license as a professional geologist with Pennsylvania State Registration Board.
• Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
• Residency waived for this title.

Responsibilities

• Hydrogeological analysis: assess groundwater conditions and investigate environmental issues.
• Field investigations: conduct site visits to gather subsurface data and document findings.
• Data review: evaluate technical reports, monitoring plans, and remediation proposals for accuracy and completeness.
• Technical guidance: provide expert advice on groundwater and hydrogeological matters to staff and stakeholders.
• Regulatory support: assist with compliance actions, enforcement cases, and responses to groundwater complaints.
