Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the customs brokerage function and daily entry activity.
- Supervise two Entry Writers, including one team member based in the Lynbrook office and one based in another office.
- Review and oversee customs entries for accuracy, compliance, classification, valuation, and duty treatment.
- Provide guidance and technical support to Entry Writers on complex entries and customs requirements.
- Manage and advise on HTS classification and tariff-related matters.
- Handle and oversee OGA (Other Government Agency) requirements and PGA related compliance as applicable. Manage CAPE refunds and related customs refund processes.
- Support and manage Duty Drawback activity and ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Customs regulations, entry requirements, and applicable government agency requirements.
- Monitor entry workflows, deadlines, and outstanding issues to ensure timely clearance.
- Identify and resolve customs discrepancies, holds, and compliance issues.
- Work closely with freight forwarding, operations, and customers to resolve customs-related matters.
Required Qualifications
- Valid U.S. Customs Broker License.
- Proven experience working as a Customs Broker within a freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or international logistics environment.
- Strong working knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. Customs entry procedures. Experience with Duty Drawback and customs refund processes.
- Knowledge of OGA/PGA requirements.
- Experience reviewing and managing customs entries. Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or managing Entry Writers or other brokerage personnel. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple entries, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
- Experience with CAPE refunds.

- Entry Writer – Lynbrook, NY
- Entry Writer – Out of state
Compensation & Working Arrangement
- $90,000–$110,000 annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
- On-site in Lynbrook, NY for the first six months.
- Following the initial six-month period, a hybrid working arrangement may be discussed based on performance, business requirements, and team needs.
