Job summary

Community Health Alliance is seeking a Licensed Counselor or Social Worker (LCDC II/III, LSW, LPC, LISW or LPCC) to provide behavioral health counseling in a residential substance treatment facility in Hamilton, OH.

Salary ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 per year, with increases based on education, experience, and licensure. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HRA, PTO, and retirement with company match.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed in the State of Ohio – LCDC II or LCDC III, LSW, LPC, LISW, or LPCC.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related Human Service Field or equivalency.
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree with LPC or LSW Licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, group and/or family therapy in a residential treatment setting.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops treatment plans and implements evidenced-based interventions.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including medical, psychiatry, case management and peer recovery services.
  • Utilizes a trauma-informed person-centered and culturally competent approach to client care.
  • Facilitates group therapy utilizing evidence-based curricula.
  • Develop client-centered treatment plans based on the needs, strengths, abilities and preferences of the client.
  • Assists clients in crisis by evaluating and providing appropriate interventions.
  • Engages family and supportive others in treatment, transition and discharge planning processes.
  • Evaluates clients’ progress towards goals, utilizes motivational enhancement strategies and determines appropriate interventions/modalities based on the individualized needs of each client.
  • Promotes participation in self-help and recovery support groups.
  • Maintains strong clinical and ethical boundaries with clients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides individual, group and/or family therapy in a residential treatment setting

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) and ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
  • Knowledge of and experience in diagnostic assessments, cognitive behavioral therapeutic modalities and trauma-informed care.
  • Adopts a harm reduction philosophy and supports the utilization of medication-assisted treatments as a best practice.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.
  • Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems.
