Job summary
McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is seeking a Full-time Counselor to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Clinic at our Charlotte, NC headquarters. The role focuses on crafting person-centered treatment plans, monitoring progress, and leading both individual and group counseling sessions to support patients and families.
The ideal candidate holds a Master's in counseling, is fully or associate licensed (LCAS/LMFT/LCSW/LCMHC), with 1+ year of experience with adolescents and substance use
Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling or related field and active licensure (LCAS/LMFT/LCSW/LCMHC).
- Minimum 1 year of experience with adolescents in a clinical setting.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with individuals facing substance use challenges.
- Interest in justice services and understanding of intersection of substance use, mental health, and justice involvement.
Responsibilities
- Craft person-centered treatment plans for patients at all recovery stages.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress; adjust treatments for optimal outcomes.
- Lead individual and group counseling sessions for patients and families.
- Connect patients with vital support services (medical, mental health, social support).
- Participate in clinical supervision sessions for professional growth and licensure requirements.
