Job summary

McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is seeking a Full-time Counselor to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Clinic at our Charlotte, NC headquarters. The role focuses on crafting person-centered treatment plans, monitoring progress, and leading both individual and group counseling sessions to support patients and families.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in counseling, is fully or associate licensed (LCAS/LMFT/LCSW/LCMHC), with 1+ year of experience with adolescents and substance use

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in counseling or related field and active licensure (LCAS/LMFT/LCSW/LCMHC).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with adolescents in a clinical setting.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with individuals facing substance use challenges.
  • Interest in justice services and understanding of intersection of substance use, mental health, and justice involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Craft person-centered treatment plans for patients at all recovery stages.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress; adjust treatments for optimal outcomes.
  • Lead individual and group counseling sessions for patients and families.
  • Connect patients with vital support services (medical, mental health, social support).

McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is seeking Full-time Counselor's to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Clinic at our headquarters location in Charlotte, NC.

How will you help us achieve our mission? You will:

  • Be at the forefront of crafting person-centered treatment plans for patients in all stages of recovery.
  • Play a pivotal role in monitoring and evaluating client progress, adjusting treatments as necessary for optimal outcomes.
  • Lead individual and group counseling sessions to support both patients and their families.
  • Connect patients with vital support services, such as medical evaluation, mental health, and social support. Your impact will extend beyond our doors!
  • Participate in clinical supervision sessions to foster your professional growth and development.

What are the qualifications needed for this role?:

We're looking for a minimum Master's degree-level fully licensed or associate licensed Family Counselor (LCAS, LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC). The ideal candidate will also have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with the adolescent population in a clinical setting, as well as at least 1 year of experience specifically working with individuals facing substance use challenges. Additionally, we're looking for a candidate with a strong interest in justice services, the ability to engage and support adolescents in overcoming substance use issues, and also a strong understanding of the intersection of substance use, mental health, and justice involvement.
