Licensed Construction Journeyman Plumber Foreman/Lead Person

Position Summary:
The Plumbing Foreman will oversee and coordinate all plumbing-related activities on the construction site. This role involves supervising a team of plumbers, ensuring adherence to safety standards, project schedules, and quality specifications.
The Foreman will serve as the primary point of contact for plumbing tasks, liaise with project management, and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Supervise and direct a team of journeyman plumbers and apprentices.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure efficient work processes.
- Provide training and mentorship to less experienced plumbers.
- Project Oversight:
- Review and interpret blueprints, design specifications, and plans to guide the installation and execution of plumbing systems.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Communicate manpower needs with the Plumbing Supervisor to maintain project schedules and milestones.
- Serve as the primary point of contact on-site for plumbing-related tasks.
- Coordinate plumbing installation with other trades to avoid conflicts and rework.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Promote and enforce adherence to safety programs and protocols.
- Conduct safety audits and address violations or hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Produce and maintain accurate As-Built drawings for each project.
- Submit parts receipts, packing slips, contracts, and invoices in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including work progress reports, time sheets, and safety logs.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in plumbing.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the plumbing industry.
- Licensing & Certifications:
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license required; Master Plumber certification .
- Completion of OSHA 10-hour training .
- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and design specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise the work of skilled and semi-skilled subordinates.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
