Madison Reed, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Colorist to deliver high-quality color services and exceptional guest care at our Hair Color Bar in New York.

The role emphasizes color expertise, consultations, and upselling products and memberships while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The position reports to the Manager and can be full or part-time, with availability during peak times to meet guest needs.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair in a salon.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations and color services to the menu to high quality standards.
• Perform shampooing, styling, and all chemical services.
• Assist guests with product recommendations and maintain timely bookings.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security of the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures.
• Drive revenue through service expansion and product upsells.
• Participate in ongoing training and product knowledge updates.
• Support the training of Assistant Colorists through coaching.
