Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking a Licensed Colorist who loves beauty and hair color and helps guests select the best color and executes services with precision. This role requires a state cosmetology license, colorist experience, and excellent guest interaction in a fast-paced setting.

The position may be full or part time, with compensation including base hourly pay, commissions, and tips. Availability at peak times is required to meet guest needs.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair in a salon.
• Effective communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations and hair color services to the highest quality standards.
• Perform shampooing, styling (blow dry, flat iron, curling), and chemical services as offered.
• Assist guests in product selection and stay timely for bookings.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and key performance indicators including retail, services, and memberships.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and safeguard company assets.
• Adhere to Madison Reed policies, processes, and procedures.
• Support training and development of junior colorists.
