Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our diagnostic laboratory team. You will ensure proper preparation, collection, preservation, transportation, and testing of samples, and report data to support diagnoses.

As a licensed CLS/Technician, you will perform and evaluate serological tests, maintain quality control, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to resolve inquiries. Shift patterns include variable hours to cover patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed CLS/Technician required by state board.
• Experience in clinical laboratory testing and specimen handling.
• Ability to follow universal precautions and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate serological reactivity and rapid tests.
• Prepare samples and ensure specimens are acceptable for testing.
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper storage of components.
• Conduct quality control and document results for audits.
• Relay abnormal results to supervisors and clinicians as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation after orientation.
• Manage inventory and ensure reagent and supply readiness for shifts.
