Job summary

Hickory Treatment Centers is seeking a Licensed Clinician to provide high-quality behavioral health services at our Albion, IN facility. You will conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual and group therapy while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

Under Clinical Director supervision, you will collaborate with nursing, medical, case management, and social services teams to ensure continuity of care and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy or related field preferred.
• Current state licensure required, or appropriate clinical credential consistent with position and applicable regulations
• Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, crisis intervention, or inpatient hospital setting preferred
• Knowledge of trauma informed care, and evidence based therapeutic approaches
• Strong crisis intervention skills
• Excellent communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal abilities
• May involve weekend or holiday rotations depending on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and clinical assessments of patients.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans.
• Assist patients in identifying strengths, coping strategies, resources, and recovery goals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and communicate clinical recommendations.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy as clinically appropriate.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups addressing mental health, coping skills, and relationships.
• Utilize evidence-based and patient-centered therapeutic interventions to support recovery.
• Provide crisis intervention and assist with safety planning when clinically indicated.
• Assess and respond to changes in patient needs, risk factors, and clinical presentation.
• Coordinate aftercare services, including outpatient mental health treatment, residential programs, substance use services, and community resources.
• Coordinate discharge planning and provide referrals and continuity-of-care recommendations.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical documentation.
• Ensure all assessments, treatment plans, and discharge plans meet hospital and regulatory standards.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform other clinical duties as assigned by leadership.
• Maintain professional standards and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered treatment environment.
